Often associated with London's East End, the capital's pie and mash tradition is a long-established institution.

Goddard's Pie and Mash shop in Deptford, south-east London, originally began trading in 1890. Staying true to the tradition's original look and feel, it is today still serving the people of Deptford and its visitors. This project observes this archetypal dish and the running of the shop by its owner, Clive Mellor.
